Riverside Beat Priority Update |
||
|
Hi all,
Please see the following February update for our priorities:
Burglary and Retail Theft:
What we have done: This month, reports of retail theft have reduced, but still not diminished completely. Our officers regularly engage with businesses, but it’s been highlighted that One Stop, Grasmere Street and B&M, Raw Dykes Road are places that are being continually targeted. The team have assisted with enquiries to identify offenders and assisted with arresting them.
In the middle of the month, PCSO Jasmine attended a report of a burglary around Havelock Street whereby the suspects used a lock snapping technique. CCTV enquiries showed an unknown male being involved but please remain vigilant and invest in security systems to keep you and your belongings safe. A number of other reports were made to including at Holy Trinity Church and the student accommodations around Grange Lane. Meetings have been held with the student accommodations to increase awareness and give hints and tips on how they can best keep the building safe.
Our PCSO’s have held over 15 events this month which provide the opportunity to discuss crime prevention tactics and provide feedback about issues in your area. These events range from bike registers to community engagements
Many thanks
